Step by Step Instructions for Creating a Landing/Capture Page.

  1. Name your Landing/Capture Page. The name will not appear on your landing Page; it is for your identification purposes.
  2. Select a style template. The style template is the decorative area that surrounds the perimeter of the text. First, preview the style templates to view the style and color you prefer. Now, make your style template selection from the style template drop down box.
  3. The rich text editori tools appear in the blue shaded areas (see Glossary). The rich text editor makes it easy to "style your text." That means you can bold and italicize text, add images, create bulleted and numbered lists, etc to add interest to your text content. With the "Advanced" rich text editor, you can also add color, highlighting, and a number of other options.
  4. Next, type your content into the content body area.
  5. Add pictures to your content, if you wish, from Flickr, your own photos, or the Zemanta tooli on the right sidebar. Zemanta pictures are easy to add to your content (see the overview here), or upload your own images using the Insert/Edit Image icon in the rich text editor toolbar.
  6. The Content Footer is optional, and is most often used to add a copyright or short message such as a P.S.
  7. If you wish to turn your Landing Page into a Capture Page which will automatically add an opt-in form (also called an email subscription form) to the bottom of the Capture Page, follow the instructions below the Content Footer area.
