- capture page
also known as a lead capture pagei or landing pagei. a page that appears after clicking on an advertisement, blogi, article, or various other links. The capture page "captures," or collects the response data from the prospective customer.
- cleanup messy code icon
rich text editori tool. Click the cleanup messy code iconi if your page does not seem to be functioning properly. If this makes the problem worse, use the undo icon to reverse the effects.
- copy icon
rich text editori tool. Highlight the text you would like to copy at, then click the cut iconi. use in conjunction with the "paste iconi" to copy text in your content and paste it into another area.
- cut icon
rich text editori tool. Highlight the text you would like to both remove and copy at the same time, then click the cut iconi to remove the text. use in conjunction with the "paste iconi" to cut text from one location in your content, then paste it into another location
D- Delete column icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Delete column" icon to delete the column where the cursor is currently placed.
- Delete row icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Delete row" icon to delete the row where the cursor is currently placed.
E- edit HTML source icon
rich text editori tool. Click the edit HTML source iconi to bring up an HTML box, which contains all of the HTML code used to create this page. Use this option only if you know HTML.
- Emoticons icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Emoticons" icon to open a small window with emoticons or "smileys." Click the emoticon you would like to insert at the cursor's current position. This will insert the actual image. There are a number of other emoticons above each rich text editor. Click on those to insert the text representation of an emoticon, or simply type the text representation of the emoticon. Once the content is submitted, it will translate back to the image version of the emoticon.
F- feed
A data format used for providing users with frequently updated content.
- find icon
rich text editori tool. Click the find iconi, the type the text you would like to find in your content into the Find what box. Choose the direction you would like to search from the cursor's current position. Click the Match case checkbox if you would like to match the case (upper, lower, or capitalized) of what you typed. Click the Find next button to find the next occurrence of the text typed in the Find what box.

rich text editori tool. Click the find/replace iconi, then type the text you would like to find in your content into the Find what box. Type the text you would like to insert in place of the text typed into the Replace with box. Choose the direction you would like to search from the cursor's current position. Click the Match case checkbox if you would like to match the case (upper, lower, or capitalized) of what you typed. Click the Find next button to find the next occurrence of the text typed in the Find what box. Click the Replace button to replace the next occurrence of the text typed in the Find what box with the text typed in the Replace with box. rich text editori tool. highlight text then select/click one of the items in the Font drop-down. The selected text will change to the selected font.

H- help icon
rich text editori tool. Click the help iconi, then the Plugins link for a list of links to advanced information. Do not use this help button unless you are an advanced user.
I- indent icon
rich text editori tool. Click the indent iconi to indent the text at the current cursor position.
- Insert column after icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Insert column after" icon to insert a new column in the table, after the column where the cursor is currently placed.
- Insert column before icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Insert column before" icon to insert a new column in the table, before the column where the cursor is currently placed.
- Insert custom character icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Insert custom character" icon to open a new box that contains custom characters, such as trademark, copyright, and ampersand symbols. Mouse-over the symbols for a preview on the right of the box, and click the symbol you would like to place it in the text at the cursor's current position.
- insert/edit anchor icon
rich text editori tool. Click the insert/edit anchor iconi. A box will open requesting the Anchor name. enter the name, then click the Insert button. You may edit a current anchor, by clicking on it, then click the insert/edit anchor icon. The anchor is like a label, and is most useful when creating a very long page. It allows you to create a link that moves the page to your anchor. Use the insert/edit link iconi to create a link to your anchor. A link to an anchor is simply the anchor name prefaced with "#". For example, if you create an anchor with the name "section1", then the link to your anchor would be "#section1".
- insert/edit image
rich text editori tool. Place the cursor where you would like to insert an image (or click on a current image you would like to edit), then click the insert/edit imagei icon. If you already have an image from another site you would like to use, paste the URL of that image into the Image URL box. If you would like to upload an image from your computer, click the small box to the right of the Image URL box. Click the Upload link at the top, then click the Browse button to find the image on your computer. Once you find the image, click on it and press the Open button. Then press the Upload button. If you would also like to create a Thumbnail version, check the Create Thumbnails checkbox before clicking the Upload button. This will create a directory for you with all of your uploaded images, so they may be reused when creating other content. Click on the image you would like to insert, and click the Send to Editor link at the top. This will take you back to the Insert/edit image box, with a preview of the image. You may enter a short description and title for the image if you wish, which can help your link popularity, but is not required. Click the Insert button to insert the image.
- insert/edit link icon
rich text editori tool. Highlight the text you would like to link to another webpage (or highlight a current link you would like to edit), then click the insert/edit link iconi. Put the URL of the webpage to which you would like to link in the Link URL box (you can get the link by going to the webpage, then copying URL from the URL bar). You may ignore the other boxes if you wish. Click the Insert button to turn the highlighted text into a link. You will not be able to click the link until the content is submitted.
- Insert horizontal ruler icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Insert horizontal ruler" icon to place a horizontal line across the content area at the cursor's current position. This is helpful for separating parts of the text.
- Insert non-breaking space character icon
rich text editori tool. Click this icon to insert a non-breaking space (a space that is not condensed to a single space when place next to another space, which is normal on the Internet) at the cursor's current location.
- Insert page break icon
rich text editori tool. Click this icon to insert a page-break. This will separate the top part of your content, which is considered the summary or teaser, from the bottom part, which is your main content. We use the summary or teaser when automatically sending your content to social bookmarking and networking sites, so this icon is very useful for making your submissions easier. Uncheck the "Show summary in full view" checkbox if you do not want tthe summary or teaser to appear at the top of your actual content page.
- Insert row after icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Insert row after" icon to insert a new row in the table, after the row where the cursor is currently placed.
- Insert row before icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Insert row before" icon to insert a new row in the table, before the row where the cursor is currently placed.
- Inserts a new table icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Inserts a new table iconi" to insert a table at the cursor's current location within your content. A new box will open. Cols are the number of columns you would like in your table, and Rows are the number of rows. Cols and Rows are the only required options.
Cellpadding and Cellspacing add padding between cells of the column, and spacing between the cells, respectively. Alignment is how to align the table (on the Left of the page, the Right, or Centered). The Border is the width of the visible border around the table. Put 0 for no border. The Width and Height are the width and height of the table, in pixels. A percentage can be used for the width, and represents the percentage of the width of the entire content area. For example, if you put 100%, the table will match the width of your content area. Class does not need to be set. Click the Table caption checkbox to include a caption area at the top of the table.
Click the Advanced tab at the top of the box to set some advanced options. The only options that are useful here are the Background image, Border color and Background color. Click the little boxes to the right of each of these boxes if you would like to set any of these options.
Click the Insert button to insert the table. When your table is placed, it will take the least amount of space possible until you enter text into the cells, unless you specified a Width for your table.
- Insert teaser break icon
rich text editori tool. click the icon to create a teaser break (or summary) within your content. anything before the teaser break will be your summary, and anything after will be your main content.
- italic icon
rich text editori tool. highlight the text you wish to change into italic text, then click on the italic iconi.
L- landing page
In online marketing a landing pagei is the page that appears when a potential customer or prospect clicks on an advertisement or search engine result link.
M- Merge table cells icon
rich text editori tool. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while clicking adjacent table cells with your mouse to select them. Click the "Merge table cells" icon to merge the selected cells.
| O- ordered list icon
rich text editori tool. Click the ordered list iconi to turn the text at the current cursor position into an automatically numbered list item. This will indent the text, and place a number at the beginning. Press the enter key on your keyboard at the end of a line to add a new list item.
- outdent icon
rich text editori tool. Click the outdent iconi to remove an indent created with the indent iconi on the text at the current cursor position.
P- paste as plain text icon
rich text editori tool. Use this in conjunction with an external text editor, such as Microsoft Word, if you wish to copy text from from the editor, but paste it into your content area without any formatting applied. Place the cursor where you would like to place the text, then click the paste as plain text iconi. A new box will open. Hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard while pressing the letter "V" to paste the text into the box. Click the insert button to insert the text.

Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while pressing the "V' key to paste the text into the box. Click the Insert button to place the text into your content area.

rich text editori tool. Use this in conjunction with the copy and cut icons to copy text from one area of your content, the place it in another. once text is copied, place the cursor where you want the text to be placed and click the paste iconi
- preview icon
rich text editori tool. Click the preview iconi to show a preview of what your page will look like once you save it. The preview will open in a new window.
- Print icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Print" icon to print the content within the rich text editor content area.
R- redo (ctr y) icon
rich text editori tool. Click the redo icon to redo the last action undone with the undo icon (actions taken include icons pressed, and text added, changed, or removed). You may also hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while pressing the "Y" key to redo an action.
- Remove column icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Remove column" icon to delete the column where the cursor is currently placed.
- Remove formatting icon
rich text editori tool. Highlight the text for which you would like to remove all formatting, then click the "Remove formatting" icon to remove all formatting from the highlighted text.

A grouping of tools that enables you to edit, format, and customize your text content. Each tool within the editor is listed in this glossary.
- Run spell checking icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Run spell checking" icon to spell check your content. This icon is only available in Internet Explorer, and uses a free spell checking software called "ieSpell." If you do not have the software installed, clicking this icon will alert you that you do not have the software, and ask whether you would like to install it. Press "OK" if you would like to download the software and install it. Once it is installed, pressing the icon will open a spell checker, where you can search for and correct misspelled words.
S- select background color icon
rich text editori tool. highlight text then choose a background color that will appear behind the selected text.

rich text editori tool. highlight text then click on a color that you wish to use for the selected text
- Split merged table cells icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Split merged table cells" icon while the cursor is within a cell that has been merged using the Merge table cells iconi to re-split the merged cells, and put them back the way they were.
- strikethrough icon
rich text editori tool. highlight the text you wish to strikethrough, then click on the strikethrough iconi.
- Subscript icon
rich text editori tool. Highlight the text you would like to turn into a subscript then click the "Subscript" icon to make the text a subscript. This will make the text smaller, and push it slightly lower than the rest of the text on the same line. This is most useful when writing math equations, or accounting information.
- Superscript icon
rich text editori tool. Highlight the text you would like to turn into a superscript then click the "Superscript" icon to make the text a superscript. This will make the text smaller, and push it slightly higher than the rest of the text on the same line. This is most useful when writing math equations, or accounting information.
T- Table cell properties icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Table cell properties iconi" while your cursor is positioned in a table cell to change the properties of the cell. A new box will open. rich text editori tool. Click the toggle full screen mode iconi to allow the editing area to take over the entire page for easier editing. Click the icon again to go back to normal mode.
- Toggle guidelines/invisible elements icon
rich text editori tool. Click the "Toggle guidelines/invisible elements" icon to turn off the display of elements that would normally be invisible when viewing the actual content. Click the icon again to show the guidelines and invisible elements again.
U- underline icon
rich text editori tool. highlight the text you wish to underline, then click on the underline iconi.
- undo (ctr z) icon
rich text editori tool. Click the undo icon to undo the last action taken (actions taken include icons pressed, and text added, changed, or removed). You may also hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while pressing the "Z" key to undo the last action.
- unlink icon
rich text editori tool. Highlight a link you have created, then click the unlink iconi to remove the link.
- unordered list icon
rich text editori tool. Click the unordered list iconi to turn the text at the current cursor position into a list item. This will indent the text, and place a small dot at the beginning. Press the enter key on your keyboard at the end of a line to add a new list item.

V- Visual control characters on/off icon
rich text editori tool. Click this icon to visually show where non-breaking spaces (multiple consecutive spaces that are not condensed to a single space, which is normal on the Internet) are. Click it again to hide them.
Z- Zemanta tool
a tool that helps you add images, resources and links to your content. The Zemanta tooli makes the addition of photos to your content easy. The default photos will rotate and change depending on the content you're creating. When you enter your content, the text will influence the photos that come into view. To see more photos (if any) that relate to your text, click "Update" in the right corner, above the photos. To choose different photos, click on "filter" and enter the subject you would prefer, such as "butterflies" or "cars," for example. Click the "GO" button next to the filter box, and pictures that are available for the subject you typed will appear. Mouse-over the pictures to see a larger view. Click on "filter" again to exit filter and go back to pictures that relate to your content (you must have some text typed in the content area for this to work). Click on a picture to add it to your content. Click and drag, then drop the pictures into your content to place multiple pictures on your content page.
